Black History Month Tribute 2008
The Japan African American Friendship Association (JAFA) Tokyo, and The Institute of Contemporary Japanese Studies (ICJS); Temple University, Japan Campus presents a Black History Month Tribute 2008: Carter G. Woodson and the Origins of Multiculturalism.

In celebration of Black History Month 2008, JAFA and ICJS will sponsor an evening of African American history and culture.
Soul Food buffet - a finger lickin' good spread of Southern specialties including

- Mr. Malcolm Adams; Adams has had an illustrious career as a TV and Radio News correspondent, TV Producer/Director, Broadcast Journalist and Media Artist for forty years. In 1984 Adams was recruited by Ted Turner to start the Cable News Network in Japan and launched the weekly CNN series "This Week In Japan" for the worldwide CNN Network.

The business of cultural knowledge
The Japan African-American Friendship Association (or JAFA) is a citizens' group with chapters located in both Tokyo and Osaka. JAFA is primarily focused on the promotion of educational and cultural exchange activities between Japanese and African-Americans.
In addition, the pursuit of business activities between our respective groups shall remain an important focus.
